The closest BART stations are at 16th Street Mission (take the 22-Fillmore toward Marina Green) and Civic Center Stations (take any of the Haight Street buses—6-Parnassus, 7-Haight or 71-Haight-Noriega.

Neighborhood

The Lower Haight is not as scary as some might have you believe, but as in any urban neighborhood, it’s wise to pay attention to your surroundings when walking to or from your car or the transit stop late at night.

We treat all our neighbors with respect and ask you to join us in keeping the Lower Haight a place where people of all kinds feel welcome.

Please also be mindful of the noise level as you come and go, or if you step outside to smoke.
